  • FindTape Conductive ESD Grid Anti-Static Tape

FindTape Conductive ESD Grid Anti-Static Tape is used within an EPA to mask or hold together components and circuit boards, and effectively shields EMI & ESD sensitive components from damage. The tape is made of three layers - a conductive grid buried between two static dissipating copolymer substrates. They provide an anti-static, non-sparking surface on both the inside and outside that will not shed, crack, chip, or rub off. They are packaged on a 3 inch core with an ESD symbol printed on the tape. These conductive tapes are used in packaging products that are static sensitive and require EMI shielding. They can also be used for grounding. A required step to controlling static damage in manufacturing is to create an EPA or a Electrostatic Protected Area. Inside this area, you must remove all unnecessary insulators (such as plastic) and replace them with anti-static products, which are specially designed to prevent static buildup and discharge. These products are made of anti-static materials such as metal, conductive rubber, or plastics that have low resistance and can dissipate static charges to the ground. They also have ESD symbols and labels to indicate their compliance with industry standards. Tape is a commonly overlooked source of plastic in an EPA, which is why our ESD Grid Tape is the ideal choice to make sure you're protected. Features & Benefits Used within an EPA to mask or hold together components and circuit boards. Shields EMI & ESD sensitive components from damage. Provides an anti-static, non-sparking surface on both the inside and outside. Will not shed, crack, chip, or rub off. Can be used for grounding. It also meets industry specifications and has excellent physical and electrical properties (which are unaffected by the degree of stretch), which helps provide immediate moisture seal and void-free buildups. Scotch 130C is self-fusing which means it is an adhesive-free tape that fuses only to itself (no sticky residue left on surfaces). This tape should be applied in successive half-lapped level wound layers until the desired build-up is reached. Scotch 130C Linerless Rubber Splicing tape should be applied like any rubber tape; that is, the side of the tape wrapped inside the roll should be applied outside on the splice (tacky side up). This will help prevent the roll from getting progressively further away from the work area. To eliminate voids in critical areas, highly elongate 130C tape. Stretch tape in critical areas just short of the breaking point; doing so will not alter its physical or electrical properties. A brand of 3M. Primary Applications Primary insulation for splicing all types of solid dielectric insulated cables through 69 kV Primary insulation for building stress cones on all types of solid dielectric insulated cables up to 35 kV Jacketing (secondary insulation) on high-voltage splices and terminations Moisture-sealing electrical connections Bus bar insulation End-sealing high-voltage cables Motor leads Jacket repairs

JVCC E-Tape-SC (Small Core) Electrical Tape is a general-purpose all-weather black PVC film electrical insulation tape with an aggressive rubber resin adhesive. As the title suggests, JVCC E-Tape-SC tape is wound on a smaller 1-inch inner diameter core. E-Tape-SC Electrical Tape is most commonly used for wire and cable insulation and bundling. Electrical tape is frequently used to install low voltage cabling such as voice, data, video, alarm, and access control cabling. This tape is UL/CSA listed and is not flame retardant. Electrical tape, as known as insulating tape, is a type of pressure-sensitive tape used to insulate electrical wires and other materials that conduct electricity. As it is easily torn by hand, can be written on, and generally removes from smooth surfaces cleanly, it is useful for a number of other applications such as labeling and temporarily attaching objects to one another. Electrical tape can be used to wrap tools or other items, such as drumsticks, for added grip.
